Lil Uzi Vert’s Lollapalooza Set Canceled Amid “Weather Issues”

As Lollapalooza gets into full swing, one name was removed from the weekend lineup amid heavy rain.

On Friday, Lil Uzi Vert‘s performance at the 35-year Chicago music festival was canceled ahead of headliner Charli XCX’s set “due to weather issues,” according to a message projected at the stage, as well as an announcement shared by Lollapalooza.

“Due to weather issues, Lil Uzi Vert will no longer be performing,” the festival noted on Instagram, in addition to rescheduling Zara Larsson’s performance.

While stormy weather forced the festival to cancel Vert’s 6:40 performance on the T-Mobile Stage, the 4x Grammy nominee made an appearance during another set. “Surprise! Lil Uzi Vert will join Major Lazer on Perry’s Stage tonight,” Lollapalooza announced shortly after the cancellation.

Major Lazer shared a video of Vert’s appearance, performing his 2022 single “Just Wanna Rock”.

Heavy rainfall continued to impact Lollapalooza on Saturday, as doors were delayed opening until 2pm, and guests were advised to wear waterproof shoes as Grant Park would be muddy.
