WARNING: This article includes spoilers from Ted Lasso season 4, episode 1, “Home.”

Apple TV has an instant success for one of its most beloved properties of all time.

The summer season is almost over, as several new and returning streaming shows have been dominating over the last few months. As the shift to fall is getting closer, a major Apple TV series has made its way back after a long hiatus.

Ted Lasso season 4 has officially brought the show back after its season 3 ending back in 2023, with episode 1, “Home,” streaming on Apple TV. Following the premiere, the iconic series has climbed back to the charts at #1 for the platform in the United States, but also worldwide.

The Jason Sudeikis-starring TV show has also surged to #1 for the Apple-owned streamer in England, Spain, Antigua and Barbuda, Ireland, Denmark, Sri Lanka, Argentina, Mexico, Sweden, Grenada, Armenia, Ecuador, Mongolia, Australia, Thailand, Honduras, Tajikistan, Austria, Malaysia, Paraguay, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Greece, Bahrain, Malta, Belarus, Belgium, Qatar, Belize, Micronesia, Vietnam, Bolivia, Brazil, Moldova, Bulgaria, Cambodia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Canada.

Ted Lasso season 4 is also surging as the top title on Apple TV in Cape Verde, Netherlands, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Dominica, Panama, Mauritius, Egypt, Norway, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, Philippines, France, Germany, Slovenia, Ghana, Slovakia, Guatemala, Hong-Kong, Peru, Hungary, India, Poland, Trinidad and Tobago, Indonesia, Portugal, Italy, Japan, Nicaragua, Jordan, Laos, Latvia, Ukraine, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Salvador, South Africa, and Venezuela.

The new season is also performing at #2 on Apple TV in Saint Kitts and Nevis, Botswana, Dominica, Namibia, Niger, South Korea, Taiwan, and Zimbabwe. The success doesn’t stop there, as the sports dramedy is trending at #3 in Gambia, Mozambique, Saudi Arabia, Guinea-Bissau, Uganda, Swaziland, and Oman, as well as #5 in Turkmenistan.

As of writing, Ted Lasso season 4 is holding an 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 59 submitted reviews. That makes it the third highest-rated season for the Emmy-winning project on the review-aggregation outlet, with season 1 at 98%, season 2 at 92%, and season 3 at 81%.

In ScreenRant’s Ted Lasso season 4 review by Kara Hedash, who previewed the first five episodes that were sent to members of the press, shared how the new cast “comprising the Lady Greyhounds. Tanya Reynolds joins Ted Lasso season 4 as Alice Chilton, a member of the coaching staff whose personality is comically the polar opposite of Ted’s. There’s also a slew of other new faces that will portray the players.” Hedash also teased there “may even be some clever connections to past characters.”

For the time being, Apple TV has not decided Ted Lasso’s fate past season 4, but Sudeikis has been vocal about having a three-season plan for this next chapter of the series. If the remaining episodes continue to perform well for the streaming giant, a season 5 renewal is more than likely going to happen.

Ted Lasso season 4 releases new episodes on Wednesdays on Apple TV.
