Pokémon’s 30th anniversary is officially in full swing, and fans of the franchise have so many new announcements it’s almost impossible to keep track. While we wait for more detailed information on Pokémon Winds & Waves, there’s a trove of new projects to keep us busy in the meantime, including the new 30th Anniversary TCG set, the return of FireRed & LeafGreen and the GameCube cult favorite Gale of Darkness on Switch and Switch 2, Pokémon Pokopia and Pokémon Champions, and plenty more.
In addition to these huge releases, Pokémon fans are also receiving a ton of new crossover collaborations, including the incredible new Adidas x Pokémon Originals 30th Anniversary Collection that introduced a brand-new look for iconic Mon such as Charmander, Mewtwo, and even a fresh design for Gengar.
And now fans will want to mark their calendars for yet another amazing new crossover that introduces an incredible new redesign for the beloved Dragonite, available to claim now via the official Pokemon Center Store.
Pokémon fans rejoice after the announcement of a fresh line of Pearlescent Pop! Vinyl Figures available from Funko Pop featuring new Pokémon designs for Dragonite, Gengar, Flareon, Raichu, and Piplup, all available to purchase now at the Pokémon Center for $16.99 USD (with Piplup listed for just $14.99). The Dragonite Funko Pop in particular is absolutely adorable and is sure to sell out quickly as these are exclusively available for a limited-time on the official storefront.
Dragonite has had a remarkably consistent design across Pokémon’s 30-year history. While it has naturally evolved with each hardware generation, the Mon’s orange body, tiny adorable wings, antennae, and plump figure has never seen a major overhaul.
Dragonite has appeared in alternate forms through mechanics like Dynamax and Terastallization, but these wouldn’t be considered a full-on redesign. And unlike many Gen 1 Pokémon, it has never received a regional form variant, new evolution, etc., so this new Funko pop design is arguably the most unique look Dragonite has seen in franchise history.
The new line of Funko Pop figures also includes fan-favorites Gengar, Flareon, Raichu, and an absolutely adorable new Piplup figure, adding to the growing roster of Funko Pop collectibles. Previous releases for the franchise have included Mew, Cubone, Charizard, Lapras, Vaporeon, Jolteon, and even Vulpix, but all of these models are currently sold out at the Pokémon Center having been among the most popular collectibles out there.
Either way, the new Dragonite Funko Pop release is yet another huge win for fans celebrating 30 years of the iconic Pokémon franchise, and there’s certainly more in store for 2026 in the months ahead.
