Live Coverage: Market on Edge as Nvidia Prepares to Reveal Earnings

It’s been called the “most important tech earnings in years.”

Nvidia, the world’s dominant AI chipmaker, worth a staggering $3 trillion, reports its second quarter results on Wednesday after market close — and just about everyone will be paying attention. Options traders are betting that Nvidia’s shares could swing as much as 10% in either direction on the results, and given that Nvidia represents 6.7% of the S&P 500, the company’s results are likely to ripple throughout the market.

Analysts expect the chipmaker do deliver Q2 revenue of $28.9 billion, according to Bloomberg, roughly double the revenue the company reported at this time last year, with earnings per share of 65 cents.

Nvidia CEO and founder Jensen Huang’s comments about the state of the AI market, the demand for AI chips, and the progress in bringing the company’s next-generation Blackwell chip to market will be just as important.

Fortune will be covering Nvidia’s results live as they cross the wire. So refresh this page once the market closes today for all the latest.
