Railtel Share Price: Railtel Corporation shares jump 4% post receiving order worth Rs 155 crore from Rural Development Department

The shares of Railtel Corporation have surged by nearly 4% post receiving order from the Rural Development Department worth Rs 155 crore. The work order received from Rural Development Department, Mantralaya, Maharashtra is for operationalization of ASSK-GP project in Konkan, Pune, Nashik Regions.

The time period by which the order or contract is supposed to be executed is September 25, 2025.

In the last two years, the shares of Railtel have gone up by 345.70% and in the last three years, it went up by 268.33%.

The Mini Ratna company reported a net profit of Rs 48.67 crore for the quarter ended June 2024, up from Rs 38.39 crore in the year-ago period. It was an uptick of 27% on a year-on-year basis. However, on a sequential basis, it was a 37% decline over Rs 77.53 crore reported in Q4FY24.

The revenue from operations in the quarter was reported at Rs 558.11 crore, up by 19%, versus 467.61 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year. The revenue was down by 33% QoQ against Rs 832.70 crore in the January-March quarter of FY24.

The Mini Ratna company reported telecom services revenue at Rs 327.77 crore, up from Rs 291.68 crore in the year-ago period. As for the project work services revenue, Rs 230.3 crore was reported in Q1FY25 versus Rs 175.93 crore in the year ago period.The profit before tax & interest (PBIT) from telecom services stood at Rs 65.84 in the reported quarter versus Rs 50.92 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. As for project services works, PBIT stood at Rs 9.58 crore in Q1FY25 versus Rs 12.25 crore in the year ago period.
