(Reuters) – Spain’s gross domestic product grew 0.8% in the second quarter from the previous three-month period, the country’s National Statistics Institute (INE) said on Friday, confirming the preliminary figure released in June.
The quarter-on-quarter expansion of GDP was in line with the average expectations of analysts polled by Reuters.
On an annual basis, Spain’s second-quarter economic output expanded 3.1%, INE said, revising the growth from a preliminary 2.9%. Analysts expected a growth of 2.9%, according to the Reuters poll.
INE also revised Spain’s quarter-on quarter GDP growth for the first quarter of 2024 to 0.9%, up from a previous 0.8%.
