Baldur’s Gate 3 isn’t getting official DLC, but that hasn’t stopped fans around the globe from wanting more. And it makes sense: BG3 has some fantastic characters, a compelling story, and offers up almost infinite gameplay possibilities. There’s a reason it’s won accolades and tons of acclaim from people who’ve played it. And while there’s no DLC in sight, the good news is that official Baldur’s Gate 3 releases are still happening — just maybe not in the way most people expect.
One of those releases is happening on August 11, 2026. It’s called The Official Baldur’s Gate 3 Coloring Book and it’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like. With 40 illustrations, and featuring fan-favorite characters, it can make an ideal gift for the BG3 fan in your life. Or, you know, you can get it for yourself too.
The Official Baldur’s Gate 3 Coloring Book is an officially-licensed coloring book targeted at adults. With illustrations by Jaki King, the book comes in at 80 pages according to the listing Penguin Random House. It’s officially priced at $18.99, but we’ve spotted preorders at retailers like Target and Walmart that have it listed in the $17 range. The full description of the book reads:
Explore the characters, creatures, and settings of Baldur’s Gate 3 through 40 gorgeous black-and-white line drawings. Add your colorful touch to portraits of the rougish Astarion and strategic Shadowheart, emphasize the details of terrifying mindflayers, and bring key scenes from the game to life. Featuring illustrations printed on their own pages of thick, non-bleed paper with perforations so you can easily tear them out, this adult coloring book is the perfect way to revisit the stories and adventures of this immersive game.
Adult coloring books have become a huge industry over the past 15ish years, so it’s great seeing a beloved game like Baldur’s Gate 3 getting this kind of treatment. Considering how popular these characters are, it’s cool that fan-favorites like Shadowheart and Astarion are included in the coloring book.
This latest book is just one of many new and upcoming releases for Baldur’s Gate 3 happening this year. The Necromany Of Thay notebook was released in July, and an official cookbook comes out in November. So, whether you’re looking for some grid paper for your next D&D session, wanting to cook up recipes from Faerûn, or want to relax with an adult coloring book, BG3 has you covered in 2026.
Considering how many unofficial Baldur’s Gate 3 coloring pages are online and up for sale on places like Etsy, the official coloring book makes a lot of sense. There’s clearly a demand for something like this, and with 80 pages, it should over up plenty of hours of relaxation.
