Batman: Arkham Knight “Definitive Edition” Does What Warner Bros. Won’t

Released back in 2015 as the fourth main installment in the Batman: Arkham series, Batman: Arkham Knight was considered by many to be the best. Developed by Rocksteady Studios, it followed the story of Batman as he goes up against one of his most formidable foes, Scarecrow. However, with Scarecrow unleashing a devastating nation-wide attack on Gotham (honestly, why do people still live there at this point?), alongside the help of a mysterious masked individual known as the Arkham Knight, Batman soon realizes that he may have bitten off more than he can chew.

Going on to receive multiple awards and still being remembered fondly to this day, it is no wonder that Batman: Arkham Knight still boasts a dedicated fanbase, and it is these fans who are still keeping the action-adventure game alive over a decade on.

Thanks to JacksNexusAcc over on Nexus Mods, players can now experience the unofficial ‘Definitive Edition’ of Batman: Arkham thanks to a free-to-download mod. First published back in 2025, the mod adds “tweaks that make the game feel more complete”, and its description details all of the brand-new features this download will include.

This includes adding content that would have been limited back during its initial release, such as the Justice League 3000 Batman, which was previously only available as a PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch exclusive. Now, it is yours for absolutely free, as well as a new-and-improved version of the poorly made “The Batman 2022” suit, two debug menus, the Arkham Knight Community Patch, and the Arkham Asylum Skin Replacer, which allows players to see their equipped suit in the Arkham Asylum finale cutscene.

There is also the Suit Up Skin Replacer, which allows you to use your equipped suit in the Suit Up cutscene and directly after it, as well as the Batman v8 Unmasked (New Suit Slot) and Red Hood – Blood Symbol (Dirty), both previous character trophies.

By downloading the Definitive Edition mod for Batman: Arkham Knight, you will automatically gain access to all of these brand-new features. All you need to do is make room for its small 850.1MB file size, and make sure you have a copy of Batman: Arkham Knight already installed on your PC.

This mod does not aim to completely overhaul the beloved game, but rather offers previously locked features the chance to be enjoyed by all players, alongside some quality-of-life improvements. With over 1,000 downloads, it is safe to say that this is what Batman: Arkham Knight fans have been looking for, and better yet, it is completely free to download now.
