Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the rose 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the were Aperam SA (AS:), which rose 4.67% or 1.16 points to trade at 26.00 at the close. Meanwhile, UCB SA (EBR:) added 2.82% or 4.60 points to end at 168.00 and D’Ieteren NV (EBR:) was up 2.07% or 3.90 points to 191.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galapagos NV (AS:), which fell 2.71% or 0.72 points to trade at 25.84 at the close. Argen-X (EBR:) declined 2.39% or 11.50 points to end at 468.70 and KBC Groep NV (EBR:) was down 0.99% or 0.70 points to 70.32.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 50 to 49 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in UCB SA (EBR:) rose to all time highs; up 2.82% or 4.60 to 168.00.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.69% or 18.30 to $2,670.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.72% or 1.21 to hit $71.58 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.75% or 1.28 to trade at $74.49 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 100.29.
