As The Last Five Years celebrates the last 25 years, Ben Platt and Rachel Zegler are immortalizing their anniversary performance.
During Friday’s production at the Hollywood Bowl, the co-stars announced a live album cast recording from their recent London Palladium run, which debuts April 20 and is now available for pre-order, via Atlantic Records.
“This is a very short and wonderful kind of experience,” said Platt. “We did just one week in London and we’ve got just two shows in New York. And we were all so sad to see it go, and really wanted to immortalize this amazing experience and this incredible score.
The Tony winner continued, “And so, we’re very excited to announce right here, right now, available for pre-order today, there is a live album that we recorded at the London Palladium.”
Platt and Zegler continue their limited tour run of the Jason Robert Brown musical at Radio City in NYC on April 6 and 7.
The Last Five Years was most recently staged on Broadway in a 2025 full-scale production starring Nick Jonas and Adrienne Warren.
The musical, which examines in jumbled chronology the five-year relationship between novelist Jamie and actress Cathy, debuted in Chicago in 2001 and opened off Broadway the following year. It has been staged regionally and internationally many times since. A 2014 film adaptation directed by Richard LaGravenese starred Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan.
