Beta Film Chooses Enteractive for Content Delivery

EXCLUSIVE: Beta Film has inked a deal with tech outfit Enteractive, which will take over the technical management of its content and library including big-ticket series such as Babylon Berlin and Gomorrah and movies including The Lives of Others and System Crasher.

TV distribution has gotten increasingly complex with an expanding matrix of windows and clients, often with specific needs in terms of the way they need a film or series delivered. Enteractive, which is part of Splendid Group, will handle services including archiving, packaging and distribution, metadata management and editing and subtitling. It will also handle analysis and reporting. Specifically, the services will be delivered by Enteractive’s TODOS platform.

Germany-based Beta Film is just back from Series Mania and attends all of the major film and TV markets, meaning. Like all of the large producer-distributors, it has a complex set of needs in terms of content management.

Beta Film has been embracing new tech in recent times. It has partnered on a new artificial intelligence start-up called Chapter41 and, separately, teamed with renowned German film school Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg (FABW) on a “lab to market” AI initiative focused on next-generation film and TV production.
