Spider-Man: Brand New Day is well on its way to besting the MCU box office record of its predecessor Spider-Man: No Way Home, with this potential making it even more interesting to keep track of the 2026 movie’s theatrical results. While Spider-Man: Brand New Day has now passed the very first and most lucrative stages of its theatrical run, the huge influx of viewers it’s had in this time are sure to encourage more to go see the film, and there’s no doubt plenty of people eager to see the movie who haven’t been able to in its first week or two in cinemas for various reasons, meaning it wouldn’t be surprising if Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s MCU box office record as Spider-Man’s biggest crown jewel to date were to be beaten soon.

Brand New Day builds on Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s expert ending cliffhanger, features a wide range of exciting Marvel characters, and involves one of the most beloved superheroes of all time in a time of considerable growth and personal development, making its story exciting for a wide range of reasons.

Similarly, the teases that Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘s story would involve the likes of Jean Grey and a berserking Hulk who’s reverted to his Savage form has appeared to further encourage viewers to go en masse to see the film, wanting to understand the plot and see the story for themselves rather than having it spoiled for them beforehand or otherwise only understanding the story based on second hand accounts.
