LAS VEGAS — Bruno Mars is set to have his name immortalized on the Las Vegas Strip.

MGM Resorts International announced that a parade and ceremony to celebrate the renaming of Park Avenue, the street between Park MGM, New York, New York, and T-Mobile Arena, to Bruno Mars Drive will be held on Friday, April 10.

“The procession will embody Bruno’s signature style – vibrant, dynamic and full of surprises,” MGM Resorts said in a statement to USA TODAY.

The parade will begin at 1 p.m. local time on Las Vegas Boulevard at Flamingo Road, and will proceed down the Las Vegas Strip to Toshiba Plaza, in front of T-Mobile Arena, where the renaming ceremony will take place at about 1:30 p.m. local time.

The plaza will open to a limited number of fans starting at 11 a.m. local time, and the parade can be viewed from the western side of Las Vegas Blvd.
