CBS is moving forward with the new Ghosts companion show Eternally Yours.
Five seasons in, with a sixth already confirmed, Ghosts is a perhaps unlikely success story. The adaptation of the BBC comedy is one of the top-rated shows on network television, with its supernatural elements helping to make the Ghosts cast a reliably popular ensemble since their debut in October 2021. It has worked so well that CBS is officially adding another supernatural comedy to its schedule.
Deadline reports that CBS has picked up Eternally Yours to series, with its premiere set for later this year. The project hails from Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, the showrunners and executive producers of Ghosts, and it is also a single-camera comedy.
In another similarity, Eternally Yours is partly a supernatural story that’s focused on vampires. Because of all these factors, it is being viewed by CBS as a potential companion series to Ghosts.
What To Know About Eternally Yours
Eternally Yours is described as a family comedy centered around Charles (The Mindy Project alum Ed Weeks) and Liz (Upload cast member Allegra Edwards). They are a vampire couple, but their romance is not as passionate as it once was. Instead, it has devolved into a rather bloodless marriage after 500 years together.
Charles and Liz live in Seattle, in the present day, with their coven. On the whole, they seem resigned to their eternal rut. That is, until their daughter introduces them to her human boyfriend. Once he unexpectedly enters their lives, Liz and Charles are forced to confront the question of whether their love is actually meant to survive forever.
Helen J Shen, Jaren Lewison, Parker Young, Rose Abdoo, Tristan Michael Brown, and Shylo Molina also star in the single-cam comedy. Behind the scenes, Port and Wiseman executive produce alongside Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang.
Can Eternally Yours & Ghosts Crossover?
Despite the similarities, reporting about Eternally Yours has been careful to refer to it as a “companion show” rather than a spinoff. Because of this, it may not be an immediate priority for the two comedies to cross paths.
CBS will announce its schedule for the 2026-2027 broadcast television season on Wednesday, April 15. It will include news about when Eternally Yours will debut, as well as Ghosts season 6. Perhaps as the two series come closer to debuting, we’ll know more about whether the Ghosts characters might meet some vamps. Both shows film around the same location, so it would be possible.
