In the last few years, Walton Goggins has established himself as one of the best character actors on TV. Best known for his roles in older shows like Justified and The Shield, Goggins has picked up Emmy nominations in recent years for his work in Fallout and The White Lotus, and while the award has evaded him to this point in his career, it likely won’t be long before he gets an Emmy to put on his shelf. Goggins has also become a personal favorite actor of Quentin Tarantino, who cast him in key roles in several projects, including The Hateful Eight and Django Unchained. Long-time MCU fans will also recall Goggins’ role as Sonny Burch in Ant-Man and the Wasp, and he even reprised the role a few years ago in the final season of What If…?
For most fans in the last few years, though, it’s Goggins’ role as The Ghoul in Prime Video’s Fallout that has become his most recognizable. Goggins starred in a key role in the first two seasons of Fallout, and he confirmed not long ago with the first set of images from Season 3 that he’s coming back in the next season — Goggins posted a photo of himself in a full face of Ghoul makeup to celebrate the start of production. Just this week, new set videos and photos of Goggins from the Fallout Season 3 production surfaced online, showing him facing off against what could be the Order of the Quill, a small faction within the Brotherhood of Steel. This could certainly prove to be quite a challenge for The Ghoul, who has already dealt with the worst the Wasteland has to offer.

When Does ‘Fallout’ Season 3 Come Out?
Prime Video has yet to set an official streaming release date for the third season of Fallout, but it has been confirmed that the show will return to streaming before the end of 2027. The first season of the show aired in 2024, and it returned for Season 2 in 2025 and into 2026. Three seasons in four years for a show as ambitious as Fallout is as good as it gets in the modern streaming landscape. Both Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten are returning as Lucy and Maximus in Fallout Season 3, which also stars Aaron Paul and Manny Jacinto.
