Garmin’s latest dash cams sink to record-low prices for Black Friday – here are my expert picks, including the budget Dash Cam Mini 3

Over the last three years, I’ve looked after TechRadar’s dash cam content and covered every Black Friday and Prime Day sale event. Put simply, I know which are the best dash cams based on real testing and what are genuinely good deals, and there’s a strong chance that I’ve already found Black Friday 2025’s best dash cam deal – the Garmin Dash Cam Mini 3 for $99.97 at Amazon in the US (was $149.99) or for just £99 at Amazon in the UK (was £129.56).

The Mini 3 is the latest version of Garmin‘s discreet and affordable dash cam that’s practically the size of a key fob, and the above deals are record-low prices. There’s good news if you fancy a beefier flagship – Garmin’s recent X310 is £249.99 at Amazon UK (was £349.99) – again, that’s a record-low price. The price cut isn’t quite as big for US shoppers, for whom the X310 is $349.99 at Amazon (was $399.99).

best dash cams available. I rate the Dash Cam Mini 3 as the best budget option, while the flagship model received a 5-star score in our X310 review.

The Mini 3 is an affordable pick if you want a simple and discreet dash cam – it lives up to its name and disappears behind your rearview mirror, recording sharp 1080p video, especially now there’s a built-in polarizing lens, which reduces flare and is new to the series. You’ll find feature-packed alternatives elsewhere, but none compare to the user-friendly experience of the Mini 3.

Likewise, the X310 is an incredible flagship dash cam and Garmin’s best yet, with crisp 4K video, touchscreen display, and compact design.

What I will say about the above two models is that they were fairly modest updates of the Mini 2 and X210, respectively. So if you don’t need the latest features, which include a built-in polarizing lens, then you might be able to save even more by opting for an older model.

For example, the Garmin Dash Cam X210 costs £179.99 at Amazon (was £259.99) in the UK, or it’s $249.99 at Amazon in the US (was $299.99) – it offers many of the same features as the X310.

Whatever model you opt for, Black Friday is a wise time to splurge. Trust me, you won’t find more comprehensive dash cam content elsewhere.
