Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 0.72% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the declined 0.72%.

The best performers of the session on the were Interlife General Insurance Company SA (AT:), which rose 1.46% or 0.07 points to trade at 4.86 at the close. Meanwhile, Profile Syst (AT:) added 1.17% or 0.06 points to end at 5.18 and Kri-Kri Milk (AT:) was up 1.13% or 0.15 points to 13.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:), which fell 3.11% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.87 at the close. Domiki Kritis SA (AT:) declined 2.73% or 0.09 points to end at 3.21 and Intrakat Technikon Kai Energeiakon Ergon AE (AT:) was down 2.41% or 0.12 points to 4.85.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 82 to 29 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in Kri-Kri Milk (AT:) rose to all time highs; up 1.13% or 0.15 to 13.40.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 5.75 to $2,598.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.21% or 0.15 to hit $69.81 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.35% or 0.26 to trade at $73.44 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.37% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 100.59.
