‘Grown Ups 3’ Adds Bailee Madison And Deon Cole To Cast

EXCLUSIVE: Bailee Madison (Roommates, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin) and Deon Cole are set to join the ensemble cast of the upcoming Netflix comedy Grown Ups 3 starring Adam Sandler. In addition to Sandler, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Chris Rock, Kevin James and Salma Hayek are set to return for the threequel.

Netflix announced at its upfronts this past May that the third film would be moving forward with Kyle Newacheck directing. Newacheck had previously worked on Sandler projects including Happy Gilmore 2 — one of the biggest streaming titles of last year, which set a Nielsen record with 2.89B minutes viewed in its first week.

Script is by Sandler & Tim Herlihy. Adam Sandler, Jackie Sandler, Jack Giarraputo, and Herlihy will produce, with Kevin Grady and Judit Maull exec producing.

Starring Sandler and frequent collaborators out of his Happy Madison universe, the Grown Ups franchise revolves around a set of childhood friends who are brought back together as adults over the course of a summer vacation.

Plot details for the third film are unknown at this time.

Madison is no stranger to working on Sandler projects, most recently appearing opposite his daughter, Sadie Sandler, in the Netflix comedy Roommates and the film Just Go With It. She was also recently seen in the Pretty Little Liars spin-off Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. She first gained widespread recognition for her breakout role in Bridge to Terabithia, followed by Brothers opposite Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal. She is repped by UTA and TFC Management.

Cole is best known for his Netflix stand-up specials Ok, Mister, Charleen’s Boy and Cole Hearted. His acting star has been on the rise since landing the title role in the BET+ series Average Joe. He was most recently seen in The Madness opposite Colman Domingo. He also appeared as Don King in the box-office hit Michael. Cole is repped by WME and Ames Hashagen Entertainment and Madison is repped by UTA and TFC Management.
