GTA 6 Full Map Reveals Huge Open World

[

With an extended look now scheduled to premiere on Netflix and YouTube for Grand Theft Auto 6 on August 27, our first official look at dedicated, genuine gameplay, as well as more of what the story entails, is right around the corner. Unfortunately, a tale as old as time for Rockstar’s upcoming blockbuster epic has repeated itself yet again, with there apparently being significant GTA 6 leaks only about a week shy of the game’s special showcase.

GTA 6 being released this November does not mean that Rockstar is necessarily obligated to indulge in the same pre-release marketing campaign practices that any other AAA game might be subject to. Having a timed-exclusive Netflix showcase is already an unprecedented marketing tactic, for instance, and avoiding a wealth of marketing may be in Rockstar’s best interests to minimize the possibility of frequent leaks. Either way, whether legitimate or not, we may have received our first look at Grand Theft Auto VI’s full Leonida map earlier than Rockstar would’ve liked.

Leaked by Cyberleek, and since shared across social media, including X, a full Grand Theft Auto 6 map of Leonida is supposedly floating around now. There won’t be any way to tell with 100% certainty whether this is an actual leak until official gameplay or concept art has been revealed that features the same image, but the gameplay clip that Cyberleek also leaked does corroborate it somewhat. If one turns out to be legitimate, it’s more than likely that they both are.

The map itself is not too unfamiliar to how many fans’ concept maps for Grand Theft Auto 6 have looked, which isn’t all that surprising, since Rockstar fans have a knack for detective work and meticulous analysis regarding what few details we’ve gotten about GTA 6’s confirmed setting. If true, it seems like this open-world map will allow players to explore Leonida’s Lummox County, Kelly County, Leonard County, Vice Dale County, and Mariana County.

However, it’s also undetermined how much of Grand Theft Auto 6’s enormous open-world map will actually have explorable real estate. Tiny dots are scattered throughout, suggesting that such areas will have points of interest and other landmarks represented by UI icon portraits to visit. The player’s own icon seems to be out at sea, which would broaden the map even further if players could ride around on a boat on almost every blue body of water depicted on the map.

With any luck, this map will be on full display on Thursday, August 27, when GTA 6 graces Netflix with its presence. Until then, it’ll be interesting to see how much else manages to leak, and how quickly Rockstar may be able to whisk these images or clips off the internet.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026.
