Brace yourselves, an official release date update for Grand Theft Auto 6 has been confirmed. As I’m sure you all know by now, GTA 6 has officially been delayed twice now. The game was initially supposed to release in 2025, but was pushed back to Spring 2026 before it was announced towards the end of last year that GTA 6 will arrive on November 19.
In lieu of any official news or updates from Rockstar Games, fans have lived with the very real fear GTA 6 could get delayed again. Certainly, this official release date update is perhaps the most important one yet.

Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two Interactive has officially scheduled its next earnings call for May 21, 2026. Why, exactly, should you care about an earnings call? These presentations are typically incredibly dry and not exactly packed with exciting information. However, it’s at this call that we’ll learn whether or not GTA 6 is on track for November 19, or if it’ll be delayed again.
It’s worth pointing out that GTA 6 was delayed to November 19 mere minutes before Take-Two Interactive’s November 2025 earnings call, so May 21 is going to be an incredibly crucial date for gamers. We might also finally learn a little bit more about the marketing plans for GTA 6, which should surely kick off properly in the next few months.
“We are in the endgame now guys,” wrote one fan on the GTA 6 subreddit. “Seven months until game releases, and its been more than two years since Trailer one.These 6-7 months will fly by just like time flew by from last September to today. I’m sure we will get new info in the coming 30 days.”
Others are convinced this means we can expect the long-awaited trailer three to land in May, possibly before the earnings call. May has looked like the likely month for the third trailer for a while now, and this latest development could well have all but confirmed our suspicions.
For now, we have to sit tight and hope that GTA 6 is indeed still planned to release on November 19. I’m not sure I’m ready for the reactions from gamers if it gets delayed again.
