GTA 6 Trailer 3 Date Has Gamers Losing Their Minds

Us gamers don’t ask for much. With it being now less than six months until the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, it’s not much to ask for a new trailer, is it? The largest gaming studio on the planet is releasing the potentially most successful game ever to bless our small screens, and it’s radio silence! Surely they have a marketing campaign leading up until the launch date? With fans champing at the bit, it definitely feels like May is the month we get something new to chew on for Grand Theft Auto VI.

One X commentor seems to agree as they’ve put together their very own calendar for potential dates that gameplay trailer 3 will drop for Grand Theft Auto VI. Actually, its more of a shotgun blast rather than an accurate prediction with many dates listed. A lot of which are for the month of May. This makes sense as May marks six months out from the release date, but also was originally the game’s official release date before the second delay. Stands to reason then that Rockstar might be feeling sorry for fans this month and throw them a bone.

Alas, two of the dates predicted for May have already passed with nothing yet from Rockstar or Take-Two Interactive to get excited about. With the internet being what it is, commentors on the thread were quick to point out the failings of this prediction calendar. One such commentor said the following:

Bro, you should’ve just listed the whole calendar, one of them is bound to be right eventually.

While another pointed out some sheer desperation:

Haha, they don’t even know what date to put anymore, they just put a bunch to see which one is right.

Comments aside, May is still looking very promising. We’ve already had a retail leak of pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI, and we’ve seen price leaks ahead of suspected imminent pre-orders, which are both very promising signs. With the mighty PlayStation confirming the November launch date, it looks unlikely we’ll see any further delays. Grand Theft Auto VI is six months out and marketing has to ramp up very soon.

With the majority of game trailers launching on a Thursday to maximize the impact over the weekend, it’s possible that we might get the new Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay 3 trailer this Thursday 14th May 2026. This aligns with one of the predictions on X, so it wouldn’t shock me if the 14th May was in fact the day we get to gush over new content for GTA. It’s so close you can almost taste it!

New GTA content can wait, as long as we’re still on track for a release date of 11th November 2026. With Grand Theft Auto VI set to be one of the biggest games of the decade, it’s hard to remain patient though. For me personally, I’m okay with waiting a little longer. I’m over a hundred hours deep in Crimson Desert and Kliff and his friends still have plenty to keep me busy for a while. I guess there’s still time for gamers to clear their backlog between now and November.
