Hayden Panettiere, Tori Spelling Cancel Con Appearances After “Emergency”

Creep I.E. Aftermath was missing two scream queens this year.

Indeed, Scream 4 star Hayden Panettiere and Scary Movie actress Tori Spelling both canceled their scheduled appearances on July 11 and July 12 at the horror convention in Ontario, Calif. due to emergencies.

“Hayden Panettiere has an emergency and will not be able to attend this weekend,” Creep I.E. Con shared in a statement on its Instagram account July 10. “We are looking forward to her appearing at an upcoming show.”

While the event did not disclose specifics regarding the actress’ emergency, her reps told People that the cancellation was “due to a private family matter concerning the health of an elderly relative.”

As for Spelling, Creep I.E. Con shared that she, too, pulled out of the convention at the last minute following an “emergency.”

“Tori Spelling has an emergency and can no longer attend,” the organization wrote in a similar Instagram statement. “New replacement guest announced later today.”

Face/Off actress Dominique Swain and The Sarah Connor Chronicles star Brian Austin Green were later announced to replace Panettiere and Spelling, respectively.
