The India vs Zimbabwe Super 8 clash in the T20 World Cup 2026 has taken on huge significance. India would also like to rectify their selection blunders — vice-captain Axar Patel was “tactically” benched for Washington Sundar, who bowled just two overs and scored 18 (22) with the bat.
Zimbabwe, meanwhile, were unbeaten in the group stage before losing convincingly to the West Indies in their opening Super 8 match. However, with the Chennai pitch assisting pacers more than spinners this tournament, they’ll back their in-form fast-bowling lineup — led by Blessing Muzarabani (11 wickets in four games) — to shock India’s top order.
