Lord of the Flies, based on the novel by William Golding, is now a four-episode BBC series with a cast of more than 30 boys, featuring Winston Sawyers as Ralph, David McKenna as Piggy, and Lox Pratt as Jack. Much like the book, the 2026 Lord of the Flies TV show explores the themes of civilization vs savagery, loss of innocence, and hunger for power.
The story revolves around survival, where a plane crashes on a remote island, and a group of schoolboys must survive without any adults around. At first, everything seems to go well, and the group is civilly led by Ralph and Piggy.
However, Jack’s hunger for power disrupts the newfound peace. He forms his own tribe and sows fear in the name of a mysterious ‘beast’. The group gradually turns violent, throwing rational thinking out of the window. What follows is absolute savagery and tragedy.
Written by Jack Thorne (Adolescence), the music for Lord of the Flies has been composed by Hans Zimmer, Cristobal Tapia de Veer, and Kara Talve – some of the biggest names in storytelling and music composing.
With a young cast and seasoned writers, Lord of the Flies promises to be a gripping and thought-provoking tale of survival and power. Here’s where to watch Lord of the Flies from online and on TV.
