Michael Jackson: The Trial, a new four-part docu-series from Wonderhood Studios, revisits the 2005 trial of the ‘King of Pop’ over child sexual abuse allegations made by then 13-year-old Gavin Arvizo. The series is set to air explosive ‘unheard’ audio recordings of Jackson when it premieres in the UK tonight.
The series follows the 2003 documentary Living with Michael Jackson, which sparked widespread controversy. However, it’s worth noting that a after a four-month trial, the jury acquitted the Billie Jean singer on all counts.
Jackson died in 2009 following a Propofol overdose, but abuse allegations persist. Frank Cascio and his siblings allege that Michael groomed and abused them between 1989 and 2009, and are seeking to overturn a 2020 ‘settlement’ with the singer’s estate.
