After 18 action-packed days of sporting drama and entertainment, the 25th edition of the Winter Olympics will officially come to an end with the closing ceremony.
The grand finale will be held at the historic Verona Stadium in the city of the same name. It will celebrate the achievements of all the athletes who competed at Milano Cortina 2026, as well as the traditional handover to the 2030 hosts, the French Alps.
It will be a shame to say goodbye to what has been a fantastic event, but all good things must come to an end – and the Winter Olympics is set to go out with a bang.
According to the Italian organisers, the closing ceremony will “reveal to the world the creativity, ingenuity, and passion that define our country”. A feast of music, art and storytelling will be directed by Alfredo Accatino, with ballet dancer Roberto Bolle set to headline the performance.
