It’s Officially The Month Of Tom Holland

[

Tom Holland is about to have a big year in 2026, and it could get even better after July, which is already his biggest month. Tom Holland is now one of the most popular and successful actors of his generation, with a career that has covered theater, movies, TV shows, and voice acting. Holland’s career started in theater before moving to the big screen with the 2012 disaster drama The Impossible. However, Holland broke big when he joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

Since his debut in Captain America: Civil War, Holland has played Spider-Man in five more MCU movies, and there’s one more arriving at the end of July. Holland will be back as the web-slinger in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, one of the most anticipated movies of 2026, but before that, he will star in another big production. Holland is part of the star-studded cast of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, set for a July 17, 2026, release.

From the MCU’s Spider-Man to smaller drama roles, Tom Holland is one of Hollywood’s most popular actors, but which of his movies is the best?

The Odyssey is also one of the most anticipated movies of the year, thanks to it being a Christopher Nolan movie (which guarantees box office success, and, most likely, critical acclaim, too), the most expensive movie in Nolan’s career, and a massive production with one of the most impressive casts in recent years. July 2026, then, will be a success for Tom Holland, and this year could get even bigger if one rumor turns out to be true.

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is based on Homer’s ancient Greek epic Odyssey, with a script written by Nolan. The Odyssey stars Matt Damon as Odysseus, who, after the Trojan War, begins his journey home. On his way to his wife, Penelope (Anne Hathaway), and his son, Telemachus (Holland), Odysseus comes across different obstacles and mythical beings, such as the nymph Calypso (Charlize Theron) and the Cyclops Polyphemus (Bill Irwin).

Meanwhile, back home, Penelope fends off many suitors, among them Antinous (Robert Pattinson), while Telemachus is determined to find his father. Given its source material and the richness of the story, The Odyssey had to be a big production, and, hopefully, it will live up to expectations. When it comes to its potential box office performance, The Odyssey is projected to have an opening range of $80-100 million (via Deadline).

Fresh off the success of The Odyssey, Holland will take over the big screen one more time with Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Set four years after the events of No Way Home, in which a spell made everyone forget Peter Parker, Brand New Day reunites the audience with Peter, who continues his crime-fighting duties as Spider-Man. However, when a mysterious and powerful threat emerges, Spider-Man teams up with new allies, while also dealing with a surprising but potentially dangerous evolution of his powers.

At the time of writing, Holland doesn’t have more projects lined up after Brand New Day, but that might change in December. The MCU’s next big crossover event, Avengers: Doomsday, will be released on December 18, 2026, and it’s bringing together some of the original Avengers, the New Avengers, Fox’s X-Men, and other characters to face Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.). However, among the MCU actors absent from the confirmed cast is Tom Holland.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will surely set up Peter’s role in Doomsday, and it’s highly unlikely that Holland’s character will meet his end in his upcoming solo adventure. It’s highly likely and widely rumored that Holland will appear in Avengers: Doomsday, perhaps in a smaller role than the rest of the characters or as a surprise appearance. If true, this will only make Holland’s 2026 even bigger, having starred in two of the biggest productions of the year and three of the most anticipated movies.

Although Holland already has an extensive career, it feels like it’s only getting started now that he’s getting bigger projects outside the MCU while continuing to play Spider-Man. It’s to be seen where the success of The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day will take Tom Holland, as well as his possible role in Avengers: Doomsday, but, for now, he’s about to have the biggest month.
