The Garmin Instinct 2 is showing its age, but it’s still a fantastic watch worth getting at a discount, especially the solar models. We gave it five stars in our review, saying “if you’re in the market for a watch that’s both practical and fun to wear, this is the one for you.”

If you’re out in bright sunlight, the watch’s Power Glass technology will reduce the drain on its battery life: staying out for three hours or more in bright conditions will offset the drain entirely, hence in the right conditions, you get ‘infinite’ battery life. However, if you’re after something more recent, there’s always the Garmin Instinct 3 to consider.
