Kelsey Asbille Joins ‘The Kellys’ Opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger

EXCLUSIVE: Yellowstone‘s Kelsey Asbille is set to star opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger and Liam Hemsworth in The Kellys, the action film from Thunder Road that Amazon MGM has acquired for worldwide release on streaming, as we first reported yesterday.

Character details are being kept under wraps, with production underway.

Directed by Brad Peyton, from a script written with Tze Chun, The Kellys follows Jack Kelly, a disgraced NYC cop whose wife, Molly, is taken hostage by terrorists inside an old armory building. Subsequently, he’ll have to join forces with the people he fears most to save her: His family.

Asbille is best known for starring as Monica Dutton on Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone opposite Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, and Kelly Reilly; Sheridan wrote the role for her after directing her in the acclaimed Wind River opposite Jeremy Renner and Jon Bernthal.

Asbille recently led Netflix and Sam Raimi’s horror-thriller Don’t Move, which held the top spot on the streamer for two consecutive weeks with over 48 million viewers globally. She appears opposite Chris Rock and Timothy Olyphant in the fourth season of Noah Hawley’s FX series Fargo and will be seen coming up in the Harris Gurny-helmed indie Adulting opposite Jake Ryan and Dagmara Dominczyk, as well as Brian McGreevy’s thriller The Technique opposite Emma Roberts and Laura Harrier. She is represented by CAA, Entertainment 360, and attorney Steve Warren.

CAA Media Finance brokered the deal with Amazon MGM.
