LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is absolutely stuffed with collectibles, as many LEGO games are. There are the usual Red Bricks, one of which is hidden in every single level after the tutorial (including the first one, “Infiltration”). But some levels also feature Batcave decoration collectibles: five or so of the same item you can unlock, then take back home and display proudly in your lair.

For the first true level of Legacy of the Dark Knight, the Batcave decoration is bonsai trees, of which there are five scattered across the map. Here’s how to find all five of them and add this colorful collectible to your base.

Bonsai Tree #1: Unmissable

You’ll obtain the first bonsai tree automatically as part of the main mission; you literally can’t miss it. Bruce and Talia will pass the bonsai when they walk through an underground vent for the first time. In the room where they pop out, shoot down the cables with the shuriken targets on them. A chandelier will fall and smash the tree.

Bonsai Tree #2: Before The Throne Room

The second bonsai tree in Lego Batman.

During the quest objective “Head to the throne room”:

  • After getting the first bonsai tree, you’ll enter a large, multi-tier room where Bruce and Talia must sneak past several ninjas to reach a large door.
  • Drop into the room, then drop down again to the lower level on your left.
  • The bonsai tree will be sitting in this lower area; punch it to pick it up. You may have to fight or sneak past a ninja or two.

Bonsai Tree #3: Above The Bed

During the quest objective “Find a way to get outside”:

  • As part of the main mission, you’ll need to build a winch and attach it to a bench, then pull the bench to turn it into a very bouncy bed.
  • Jump on the bed and it’ll propel you up towards a higher area in the same room.
  • As soon as you reach the higher level, turn left and follow the path to the end to find another bonsai.

Bonsai Tree #4: Before The Courtyard

The fourth bonsai tree in Lego Batman.

During the quest objective “Reach the courtyard”:

  • After crawling through the long, wooden tunnel, you’ll pop up in a small room that opens up to a large outdoor area.
  • Down a short hallway in this room, you’ll find a fourth bonsai tree.

Bonsai Tree #5: After Ra’s

The final bonsai tree in LEGO Batman.

During the quest objective “Escape the temple”:

  • Immediately after beating Ra’s al Ghul, exit the boss arena.
  • Turn left outside and follow the wooden platform to find the fifth and final bonsai tree.

With that, you can safely complete this level and move onto the next one, where you’ll find a whole new set of collectibles. If you ever miss something and want to revisit a level to complete your collection, you can always choose to replay it from your Batcave. That should make it relatively easy to 100% LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
