- LG announced the OLED G6 at CES, with 20% higher brightness, much improved anti-reflection screen, world’s-first 120Hz TV
- LG C6 in two models also announced: LG C6 and LG C6H, with next-gen panel in the C6H
- LG W6 ‘Wallpaper’ TV is a G6 but with a wireless connections box a 9.9mm thickness
- LG also announced new QNED mini-LED TVs with up to 115-inch screens and a Gallery art TV with an included frame
The OLED evo G6 will use LG’s new Primary RGB Tandem 2.0 display panel, which advances on the Primary RGB Tandem panel used in the LG G5, one of 2025’s best TVs. Enhancements include Hyper Radiant Color technology, which, according to LG, extends the brightness benefits of its Primary RGB Tandem panel to other picture quality factors such as color and contrast.
LG’s specs for the new G6 include a Brightness Booster Ultra feature that will provide a 20% brightness increase over the G5. Reflection Free Premium tech will enable the G6 to deliver “perfect black’ in light or dark viewing conditions, with lower than 0.5% screen reflectance.
This improvement in anti-reflection tech is really good – I’ve seen it in person, and it’s a very clear improvement over the G5’s reflectivity.
The TV’s bright room viewing performance will also be helped by an Ambient Filmmaker Mode, which uses a built-in sensor to automatically adjust the picture based on lighting conditions without sacrificing accuracy.
The new G5 is maxed out for gaming, with Nvidia G-Sync, FreeSync Premium Pro, and 4K 165Hz support, plus a Motion Booster feature that allows for 1080p gaming at 330Hz. It will also be the world’s first TV with built-in 4K 120Hz cloud gaming (via GeForce Now) and ultra-low latency Bluetooth controller support.
LG C6 splits in two
The LG C6 was also unveiled, and interestingly there are now two versions of it: The LG C6, and the LG C6H.
The LG C6H is only available in 77-inch and 83-inch models, and the crucial difference here is that it uses a Primary RGB Tandem panel – the same kind of panel used in the LG G5, which was LG’s flagship from last year. This means it should be majorly brighter than the LG C5 was in those sizes – LG told us that it really should match the brightness of the G5, basically.
The regular LG C6 will be available in 42, 48, 55 and 65-inch sizes, and will use the same kind of panel as last year’s LG G5.
The return of the Wallpaper TV
LG also revealed the LG W6 ‘Wallpaper’ TV, which is basically an LG G6’s screen and processing, in a super-thin 9.9mm body, and with LG’s wireless Zero Connect box for all connectivity needs, meaning that the TV panel only has a single power cable leading into it.
It’s very impressive-looking: in the image above, it’s showing a photo of the wall in an ambient mode, so it blends right in, aided by its thinness.
On the left is the new smaller Zero Connect box, which supports full-quality 4K 165Hz HDR images being sent, even when the box is in a cupboard or doesn’t have line-of-sight to the TV, as long as it’s within 30 feet or so.
Abundant AI
LG’s new Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 3 is used in both the LG G6 and LG C6 (which is also used in the new Micro RGB TVs that LG already announced), bringing the benefits of faster webOS UI navigation plus a bucketload of AI-driven features.
A new AI Hub within webOS will house features such as AI Concierge and AI Search using Copilot and Gemini. For picture enhancement, a new AI Genre TruMotion feature can address judder automatically by content genre, such as movies or sports, and an AI Super Upscaling feature provides optimization by genre and scene.
LG’s AI Sound Pro feature found in the G5 will also be included in the G6, offering virtual 11.1.2 channel upmixing of movie and TV soundtracks. Same as with the G5, DTS soundtrack formats will not be supported in the new TV.
Screen sizes, pricing, and availability for the LG’s new OLEDs were not announced.
LG also confirmed that a B6 OLED model is coming, but said that it wouldn’t reveal more details until later in 2026.
Ultra-large QNED, Gallery TV and more
LG will get on the super-big screen TV train in 2026, with its QNED mini-LED lineup available in screen sizes up to 115 inches. These models feature an Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen 3 and LG’s Dynamic QNED Color Pro.
LG also announced its new Gallery TV, an art TV with an included frame that’s designed specifically for wall-mounting. The Gallery TV will use LG’s new Gallery+ subscription service, which lets viewers access and display up to 5,000 images. Unique images can also be user-generated with the Gemini AI feature in webOS.
(Long-term OLED TV fans will no doubt recall that the G in the G series originally stood for ‘Gallery’ series, but now that honor seems to have been moved to a new range.)
The company previously announced its new Micro RGB evo TV lineup and Sound Suite Dolby Atmos FlexConnect speakers, both of which are also making their debut at CES 2026, back in December.
