A gaming laptop is a good investment if you’re headed off to college but still want to play your library of games. For one, a gaming laptop is easily powerful enough to tackle any study duties on the side.
Annoyingly, finding a super-cheap gaming laptop is difficult these days due to RAM and other components being so expensive. Decent deals do exist, however, if you’re willing to cast the net out further.
Just below, you can see the five best gaming laptop deals I’ve spotted this week, which mostly include options from Best Buy’s excellent ‘back to school sale’ that’s running right now.
By far and away, the best deal right now (in my opinion) is this Gigabyte Aero X16 for $1,329 (was $1,499) at Best Buy. This is a deal that harkens back to a time when you didn’t have to pay extortionate amounts for a laptop with 32GB of RAM – and it’s also got a really decent RTX 5070 graphics card to boot.
Another great choice for students is the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 for $1,599 (was $2,299) at Best Buy. This is a machine that features a really lovely high-end design that’s easily portable, as well as a 3K OLED display – which is perfect for both games and content. While pricey, this is a good option if you want a stylish MacBook-style laptop that can still handle all the latest games. You can read more about this deal, and others, just down below.
