‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’ Renewed For Season 2 At Apple TV

There will be more Margo, but hopefully less money troubles. Apple TV has renewed Margo’s Got Money Troubles, created by David E. Kelley, Eva Anderson and more, for a second season.

Based on Rufi Thorpe’s best-selling novel, the series follow’s Elle Fanning’s eponymous character, who resorts to OnlyFans work to support herself and her newborn baby after dropping out of Fullerton College. With the help of her roommate Susie (Thaddea Graham) and her former professional wrestler father Jinx (Nick Offerman), Margo leans into an alien persona to create content for TikTok as well as the sex work platform, teaming up with Rico Nasty’s KC and Lindsey Normington’s Rose.

The story takes quite a few turns, like when the father of Margo’s child, Mark Gable (Michael Angarano), challenges her for custody of baby Bodhi and when her father tragically relapses into drug addiction towards the end of Season 1.

The series also stars Michelle Pfeiffer, who executive produces, as Margo’s mother Shyanne, Greg Kinnear as Shyanne’s new husband Kenny and features Marcia Gay Harden as Mark’s mother Elizabeth Gable and Nicole Kidman as Jinx’s wrestling colleague-turned-lawyer Linda “Lace” Sawkins.

Margo’s Got Money Troubles is produced for Apple TV by A24. Kelley and Anderson serve as co-showrunners and executive producers alongside Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning and Brittany Kahan Ward for Lewellen Pictures; Kidman and Per Saari of Blossom Films; and Matthew Tinker for David E. Kelley Productions. Pfeiffer, author Thorpe, Eva Anderson and Boo Killebrew also executive produce. BAFTA and Emmy Award winner Dearbhla Walsh directs the pilot and serves as an executive producer. Additional directors include Kate Herron and Alice Seabright.
