Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 Teaser Has Gamers Losing It

The original Marvel’s Spider-Man and its sequel still serve as arguably the best fun you can have in any superhero game, finally allowing players to swing through New York City with reckless abandon as the titular web slinger. As such, they was also a huge commercial success and two of the biggest PlayStation exclusives of the last decade or more.

News on the potential threequel has been relatively thin on the ground and developer Insomniac Games have remained remarkably quiet about what they’re planning to do. Though that’s still the case, one interesting tidbit has emerged that could confirm that they are actively working on the trilogy part in earnest.

Is This Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, Or Something Else?

Over on Twitter/X, Culture Crave shared the news that Ben Jordan, who serves as the face model for Peter Parker’s motion capture in Marvel’s Spider-Man, had posted himself all suited up once again, with the tantalizing caption, “If you know, you know.”

It’s a pretty good clue that the third part of the series is coming, and fans in the responses were extremely pleased that things are seemingly on the move behind the scenes. One tagged Insomnia Games themselves, saying, “If we get another Spider-Man game I promise I’ll send you guys a Christmas card this year.”

“Insomniac is always cooking. In my opinion they are the best game developers. I don’t think they ever faced a backlash clash from any game was made by them,” another added.

“I love how Insomniac Games is working on both Wolverine and this at the same time! I love Insomniac! They are coming along really nicely. I LOVE how they are handling these superhero titles. I REALLY pray to God they consider a Hulk Game AND Venom Game! PLEASE!” a third said.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 Will Likely Be The End

Whatever does end up happening with the release of the third game, it will almost certainly serve as the final release in this little series of Spider-Man games. Though that’s obviously sad, we should be thankful that it put so much momentum back into the genre after a few quiet years following the immense successes of Rocksteady’s Batman games.

Marvel’s Spider-Man needs a third part to round things off nicely, and to right some of the wrongs of the second game. Let’s just hope we actually get to play it before the end of the next decade.
