John Cena is taking on another fast and furious franchise in the first look at Mattel‘s action film take on the Matchbox toy cars first released in 1953.
On Saturday in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, Apple TV and Mattel debuted the first trailer for Matchbox: The Movie, premiering Oct. 9 on the streamer, starring Cena and Jessica Biel in a high-octane, globetrotting adventure. Watch it above.
Inspired by the beloved toys, Matchbox follows a group of lifelong friends who have their lives upended when undercover CIA agent Sean (Cena), their former leader, returns to their small town and unwittingly gets them embroiled in a frantic international pursuit to save the world.

Directed by Sam Hargrave from a script by David Coggeshall, the movie also stars Arturo Castro, Sam Richardson, Teyonah Parris, Danai Gurira, Golshifteh Farahani, Corey Stoll and Bill Camp.
Producers include David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Robbie Brenner, Ynon Kreiz and Jules Daly, with executive producers Hargrave, Patrick Newall and Elizabeth Bassin.
