Matthew Lillard Is Officially Returning For Scooby-Doo’s Biggest Franchise Evolution In 57 Years

[

After more than five decades of mysteries, haunted mansions, and unforgettable catchphrases, the Scooby-Doo franchise is finally making one of its boldest creative moves yet. Warner Bros. Animation has officially announced Yokoso Scooby-Doo!, the Scooby-Doo franchise’s first-ever original anime series, marking a massive shift for the beloved property that first debuted in 1969 with the television show Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!.

The announcement, according to Variety, becomes even bigger for longtime Scooby-Doo fans thanks to the return of Matthew Lillard as Shaggy Rogers alongside veteran Scooby actor Frank Welker. The pair will headline the new Yokoso Scooby-Doo! anime adventure, which is being produced by Warner Bros. Animation and streamed exclusively in North America through Tubi.
