Netflix’s Hit British Murder Mystery Is Officially Ending

All good things must come to an end, tragically, but at least this one always had a beginning, middle and a very bloody end. Pip’s final case is about to land on our laps, but it’s not going to leave fans stuck in detective limbo forever, thankfully, as Holly Jackson‘s popular stories conclude on our screens.

Netflix has announced that A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder has been renewed for a third and final season, completing the screen adaptation of Jackson’s book trilogy. Season 3 has already wrapped production and will premiere globally in 2027 on Netflix. The four episodes will follow Pip’s ultimate investigation as the series adapts As Good As Dead, the third book in Jackson’s trilogy. After the first two seasons saw Pip generally make decisions that would induce a migraine in any responsible adult, the secrets and murders this time are going to push her into even darker territory than she could have imagined.

After two seasons of secrets, murder, and Pip generally making decisions that would give any responsible adult a stress migraine, the final chapter promises to push her into darker territory than ever before. Jackson has teased a brutal final run for the series, saying in a statement alongside the announcement:

“I am ecstatic that we are able to bring A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder to its (bloody) conclusion. As Good As Dead is my favourite of the book series and it’s by far my favourite season of the show too. You’ll see Pip as you’ve never seen her before. It’s dark, breathless, horrible and… somehow still manages to be funny. Come on back to Little Kilton for the final time…if you dare.”

Emma Myers, who stars as Pip and also executive produces the series, added:

“I’m very happy that we get to bring everyone season 3 of A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder. Thank you so much to everyone who has given this show love and support throughout! This has truly been an incredible experience and Pip will be a character I will never forget. Book 3 is my favorite of all the books, so I’m very excited to show everyone what we’ve done. Get ready for a crazy time!”

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is produced by Moonage Pictures, part of ITV Studios, in co-production with Netflix and ZDFneo. The series is produced by Sophie Klein and Sophie MacClancy and directed by Tom Vaughan.
