Netflix is releasing more episodes of a hit crime series.
The streamer confirmed that production is underway on a new three-part installment of the Monster of Florence story, a miniseries directed by Stefano Sollima.
It’s created by Leonardo Fasoli and Stefano Sollima, produced by Wildside, a Fremantle company, and AlterEgo, and produced by Sonia Rovai, Gina Gardini, Stefano Sollima, and Lorenzo Mieli. A fresh chapter in Italy’s best-known true crime case, the series will reexamine the Monster of Florence investigation from a different angle, coming soon globally, only on Netflix.
The latest chapter broadens the story around the Monster of Florence case by centering on the “Snack Buddies” lead and, specifically, on Pietro Pacciani, the alleged Monster of Florence and main suspect in the investigation into the eight double murders that terrified Italy between 1968 and 1985. As closely examined by the media as he was surrounded by mystery, Pacciani became the focus of a marathon trial full of surprising twists and turns.
More to come…
