Netflix’s The Last House Billboard on Sunset Blvd Has Man Living Inside

[

It’s a bird, it’s a plane—no, it’s a real man inside that billboard.

Netflix has officially taken advertising to a new level while promoting its new movie The Last House, starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura, putting a performer inside signage on Sunset Blvd.

The company confirmed in a press release Aug. 7 that a man is, indeed, “trapped” in the billboard—and will remain there until Aug. 8.

“A performer will ‘live’ inside a fully furnished living room built into a billboard 30 feet above the ground at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Selma Avenue in Hollywood,” the statement shared by Netflix’s Tudum confirmed. “While attempting to carry on as normally as possible inside the enclosed space, he’ll communicate with commuters and passersby below using a whiteboard.”

The streamer describes the publicity stunt as an “an eerie echo” of the upcoming film’s plot—which sees Lee and Moura star as married couple Ann and Jason trying to survive with their two kids while being trapped inside their home.
