Nicolas Cage Returning for ‘Longlegs’ Sequel From Osgood Perkins

[

Nicolas Cage and Osgood Perkins are expanding the “Longlegs” universe with a second installment of the new horror movie franchise.

Paramount Pictures picked up the rights to the new project after “Longlegs” grossed $128 million for Neon in 2024.

Perkins will again write and direct the yet-to-be-titled movie — plot details of which are being kept under wraps — with Cage returning to star and produce. Also producing the project are Range Media Partners’ Brian Kavanaugh Jones; Perkins and Chris Ferguson, through their company Phobos; and Dave Caplan under his C2 banner, which originated the rights to the property.

Perkins returns to the “Longlegs” universe after recently wrapping production on his next feature, “The Young People,” starring Nicole Kidman, Lola Tung and Nico Parker. He is represented by CAA, Untitled, and attorney Jonathan Shikora of Lichter, Grossman, Nichols, Feldman, Rogal, Shikora & Clark.

Cage is represented by WME, Stride Management and Patrick Knapp at GGSSC

The Hollywood Reporter first shared news of the developing project.
