‘Nobody Wants This’ Creator Erin Foster Joins Cast For Season 3

Erin Foster, creator of Nobody Wants This, is stepping out from behind the camera in Season 3 of the Netflix rom-com.

Foster is one of the guest stars for the third season of the Kristen Bell and Adam Brody-led series.

She will play Nicole, a terminally single woman who is a chaotic mess. She is Joanne, played by Bell, if everything had gone wrong for her life.

Foster started her career in front of the camera with roles in Gilmore Girls, Castle, The O.C. and Roswell as well as on her reality show mockumentary comedy Barely Famous, before transitioning to writing and producing.

She will be joined by a number of new recurring stars including Sarah Silverman and Andrew Rannells. Girls star Rannells will play Sebastien, Joanne’s nemesis in conversion class and Silverman will play Rabbi Eden, the warm, quirky teacher of an Intro to Judaism class, and a supportive presence for Joanne and Noah. Keyla Monterroso Mejia (The Studio) also joins as Amber, a single woman enrolled in Joanne’s Intro to Judaism class who is obsessed with finding a Jewish husband.

Guest stars including Avan Jogia (56 Days), who plays Travis, a confident and unbothered guy’s guy who enjoys getting under Joanne’s skin; Poorna Jagannathan (Deli Boys) plays Eleanor, Sebastien’s brassy and biting aunt; Sadie Sandler (Roomates) is Denise, a young psychic who gives a reading to Morgan; Stephanie Koenig (English Teacher) is Poppy, a sardonic dating app regular who tries her luck with Sasha, and Steven Weber (Wings) is Julian, a funny, grounded, cool and secure divorced dad.

Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons and Jackie Tohn also return in Season 3, which will clearly revolve around conversion of Bell’s agnostic podcast host.

The series is produced by 20th Television with Foster and Bell exec producing alongside Sara Foster, Nora Silver, Steven Levitan, Danielle Stokdyk, Jeff Morton and Oly Obst as well as Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who also serve as showrunners.
