Strands is the NYT’s latest word game after the likes of Wordle, Spelling Bee and Connections – and it’s great fun. It can be difficult, though, so read on for my Strands hints.

Much like JRR Tolkein yesterday, today’s search topic was a mystery to me – but I still managed to find a passage through.
When you find a non-game word such as “branding”, it’s hard not to convince yourself that it must be part of the spangram, so I wasted a while trying to attach another word to it before giving up – and completely failied to spot BRAIDING.
I did, however, see BEAUTYSALON, which set me on my way in fine style.

What is NYT Strands?
Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new-any-more word game, following Wordle and Connections. It’s now a fully fledged member of the NYT’s games stable that has been running for a year and which can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
