The Garmin epix Pro is one of the most advanced smartwatches from the manufacturer, but all of those premium features come at a high cost. Thankfully, that’s much less of an issue now, as a massive 50% price cut has dropped the Garmin epix Pro (Gen 2) at Amazon to $499.99 (was $999.99).
That’s a return to the record-low price for the smartwatch that our fitness editor, Matt Evans, gave a hugely impressive score of 4.5 out of five. It’s the very same wearable he used while running a marathon last year, finding it invaluable for planning training routes, tracking his progress and offering accurate metrics during the race itself.
Even though it’s a slightly older watch now, there’s no denying that it offers a lot for the dedicated runner. On top of all of those navigation and tracking features, you also get a bright and clear AMOLED display, a built-in LED flashlight, up to 16 days of battery life, and handy on-wrist notifications.
Today’s best Garmin deal
You can read through Matt’s full Garmin epix Pro review to get a full breakdown of why he scored it so highly. To summarise, he called it a “high-performing endurance watch that operates wonderfully”.
It may not have been a transformative upgrade compared to some of the manufacturer’s other wearables, but it nails everything it wants to do so well. If you’re a runner who wants a high-end device for tracking progress, monitoring key health metrics, and needs the longevity of an extensive battery life, this watch will tick all of those boxes — and it’s now available for a much lower price.
