I use the Philips Sonicare 7100 every day (yes, that’s my hand in the picture above), because it’s powerful enough to give my teeth a thorough attack with up to 62,000 bristle movements per minute (my previous toothbrush only managed 35,000), it doesn’t have many features I don’t use, it comes with a useful travel case that also extends the battery life, and replacement heads are easy to come by. It’s my daily driver, and at £210 off, I’d recommend everyone buy it.
However, £119.99 might still be too steep for people looking at toothbrushes for gifts for their partners. If they’re still using a manual, any sonic brush will be an improvement in plaque and gum disease reduction, according to research.
