William Shatner, Hugh Jackman and More Stars Pay Tribute to Patrick Stewart After Death
Daniel Stewart is remembering his father Patrick Stewart‘s journey towards the final frontier.
The son of the Star Trek icon commemorated his father one day after he died Oct. 28 at the age of 86 following a brief battle with Alzheimer’s Disease and Lewy Body Dementia.
Daniel shared a throwback photo to X Oct. 29 of him giving Patrick a piggyback ride while on stage together. The father-son duo are smiling in the photo, in which Patrick is sporting a head of light gray hair and a mustache.
While Daniel didn’t caption the image, plenty of fans took to the replies to also honor Patrick, who shared Daniel and Sophie, 54, with ex-wife Sheila Falconer.
“Daniel, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your father,” one person wrote. “He was loved and admired by so many people. I wish the best for you and your family as you grieve.”
A second person added, “Deepest sympathies and condolences on the loss of your father. He was a great man and an incredible actor. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.”
