A scene in Marvel’s new special The Punisher: One Last Kill is facing backlash over its use of visual effects, but the truth has now been revealed.

At one point during The Punisher: One Last Kill, Frank Castle (aka Punisher) falls from a building and lands on a metal crate. The shot has been criticized on social media for allegedly using cheap-looking visual effects, but a source has told THR that it’s a real shot. While some visual effects work was used in the scene, including superimposing star Jon Bernthal’s face onto the stuntman’s, the stunt of the man falling onto the crate was actually filmed for the special.
