The answers to today’s Quordle, game #885, are…
There are some rather uncommon words in today’s Quordle. ROUSE and DOWNY are certainly not used that often, and ATOLL is both uncommon and a bit of a nightmare to solve, with repeated L at the end. MAXIM is worse still: M at the start and end of the solution, uncommon letter X in the middle.
All of which adds up to a difficult Quordle, and one that I suspect will beat some people. Fortunately for me, my start-word strategy gave me a good opening to the game, and I only ‘lost’ one guess (to MAXIM; I played MAFIA first), meaning I finished in eight guesses. The Daily Sequence was just as tough, with the obscure word VERSO (a left-hand page) being the final answer.
