Raw TV Creative Director Liesel Evans Exits ‘Tinder Swindler’ Producer

[

EXCLUSIVE: Raw TV Creative Director Liesel Evans is exiting the Tinder Swindler producer after nearly a decade.

Evans, whose credits include Disney+’s In Vogue: The 90s and ITV’s The Undercover Police Scandal: Love and Lies Exposed, is staying on for the next few weeks working on current and unannounced projects. Succession plans will be revealed in due course.

Evans joined the All3Media-owned producer in 2017 as Head of UK Factual and subsequently became Creative Director, Factual.

Evans played a crucial role in deepening Raw’s relationships with the streamers, which has seen Raw become a prolific provider of hit docs to Netflix in particular such as The Tinder Swindler, Don’t F**k with Cats and The Most Hated Man on the Internet.

Evans is a champion of female documentary directors and has worked with top quality women directors like Jane Preston on shows including In Vogue: The 90s, which featured Anna Wintour and Naomi Campbell. Another female director, Lucy Wilcox, helmed ITV’s Undercover Police Scandal, which is nommed for a BAFTA at next month’s awards and saw five women come together for the first time to reveal their experience of falling victim to the Spycops scandal. Evans’ other EP credits included Prime Video’s Dead in the Water and Sky’s The Child in the Box: Who Killed Ursula Herrmann.

“We are really sorry to see Liesel go,” said a Raw statement. “She has been an absolutely brilliant Creative Director and team member for nearly nine years, always bringing passion, enthusiasm and commitment to any project as well as an incredible warmth and sense of humour. We are delighted we will be continuing to work with her on current projects and some exciting new commissions. She will be missed enormously day to day at Raw but we understand her decision and wish her the very for best for the future.”

Raw’s senior team includes co-founders Bart Layton and Dimitri Doganis, CEO Joely Fether, and Creative Directors Jonny Taylor and Tim Wardle.
