Red Dead Redemption 2 Freebie Officially Yours Until June 8

Red Dead Redemption 2 might have come out all the way back in 2018, but it’s a game that continues to fascinate and astound players who return to it in 2026. Rockstar’s beautiful Western epic is also one of the biggest and most detailed releases ever, so it’s perhaps not too much of a surprise that players still resonate with it to this day.

That said, many folks out there, myself included, will likely have seen almost everything the single-player has to offer, and with no sequel on the immediate horizon, we have to look to the multiplayer to keep the cowboy good times coming. Fortunately, Rockstar has been very diligent about giving us new stuff to do, and the latest weekly event is full of great stuff to get involved in.

As first reported by Rockstar Intel, the latest Red Dead Online event got underway on June 2, with some overarching rewards available, as well as weekly bonuses for those who are attentive and keep up with the challenges. In the first instance, there are rewards going away when the first week of the event draws to a close on June 8.

Specifically, you’ll want to get to Rank 20 as a Moonshiner, following which you will receive the North Ridgewood Treasure Map if you get it done before then. The Hardcore Pro Series is also currently active for another 48 hours, before it gives way to the Hardcore Shootout Series on June 9.

Outside of those, you’ve got a little more time, with the full list of monthly rewards as follows:

• Complete all Daily Challenges in one day to receive the Goldwing Spurs (Outlaw Pass 1)
• Complete all Trader Daily Challenges to receive the Clovelly Boots (Outlaw Pass 3)
• Complete a Legendary Bounty to receive the Clovelly Shirt (Outlaw Pass 3)
• Sample a Legendary Animal to receive the Clovelly Pants (Outlaw Pass 3)
• Destroy a Revenue Agent Blockade to receive the Clovelly Hat (Outlaw Pass 3)
• Collect a Fossil to receive the Clovelly Dropped Suspenders (Outlaw Pass 3)

There’s also a full list of additional bonuses for completing activities as follows:

• 2X RDO$ and XP on Legendary, Infamous and Regular Bounty Missions
• 2X RDO$ and XP on Collector Set Sales
• 2X RDO$ and XP on Moonshine Sales
• 2X RDO$ and XP on Trader Sales Bounty Missions
• 2X RDO$ and XP on Naturalist Sample Sales
• 2X Gold on Completing All Daily Challenges

The event itself is set to run until June 29, with the next weekly refresh for new activities and rewards coming on June 9. The start of these new initiatives is also usually the best time to get involved in Red Dead Online as a new player, as you can accrue plenty of rewards and experience quickly to get your character up to speed.
