Resident Evil Requiem Players Can Grab Free PlayStation Store Credit Now

[

There is nothing better than a horror game. Well, maybe a horror movie. Or maybe both? That is what is up for grabs courtesy of PlayStation as Sony has revealed an event which will give you access to free store credit. No strings attached. Let us face it, being a PlayStation player is no cheap feat, with fans regularly having to fork out money for PlayStation Plus, the latest releases, and any other incentives they want to get their hands on.

However, perhaps as a way to apologize for the latest price increases, Sony is helping out PlayStation users by giving them a chance to bag some free store credit, all whilst getting to enjoy Capcom’s latest entry, Resident Evil Requiem.

PlayStation Free Store Credit Up For Grabs Now

In this latest incentive, Sony is giving PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users the chance to earn free store credit up until 30 April 2026. The free credit will be worth up to $30 and will allow you to “purchase” a free movie on the Sony Pictures Core streaming app. Once you have grabbed the movie of your choice, it is yours to keep forever, and with so many incredible films available on the Sony Pictures Core library, you are bound to be spoiled for choice. So what do you have to do to be eligible for this $30 worth of free credit, you may ask?

Those interested will have to simply play Resident Evil Requiem for at least 30 minutes on either the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5. However, you must be a PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscriber, and it will not be available for anybody on the PS Plus Essential tier. Additionally, although you will be able to purchase any movie in the Sony Pictures Core streaming app, it is worth mentioning that there are some live-action Resident Evil films you may want to take this opportunity to check out.

If you have yet to check out Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth installment in the beloved Capcom horror franchise, then this incentive gives you the perfect chance to do so. Released back in February, Resident Evil Requiem features a brand-new protagonist, Grace Ashcroft, who must return to the scene of her mother’s murder in order to uncover the mystery surrounding it. Luckily, she is soon joined by series regular Leon Kennedy, who, at 49 years old, is still capable of kicking ass.

Here at ScreenRant, we gave Resident Evil Requiem 9/10 and called it “a lasting marriage of horror and action.” In his review, Chris Carter wrote, “Capcom has thrills down to a science at this point, and Resident Evil Requiem delivers. Long-time fans are going to get more out of this entry than the previous two, and the development team seems to have mastered the first-person perspective.”
